In 1950, the Christian Brothers' vision for their new, fee-paying, primary school in Monkstown Park was to give their students a good, academically solid education, grounded in Catholic belief and practice, and also to create an educational environment that embodies the unique tradition founded by Blessed Edmund Rice.

After 58 years, C.B.C. Junior School is a thriving institution, rooted in the community and the Edmund Rice tradition. The school’s ethos is built on 5 foundation blocks which are common to all Christian Brothers schools
