Fifth Class ,The Young Scientist Exhibition and The Large Hadron Collider.

For the past few weeks 5th class have been working on the Large Hadron Collider. The Large Hadron Collider is trying to recreate the Big Bang. There are over 14 billion atoms travelling around the tube faster than the speed of light. C.E.R.N is in Geneva, Switzerland, and they are trying to find out what happened during the instant of The Big Bang. Our class are trying to demonstrate The L.H.C. by sending vinegar down each end of the tube with blue and yellow food colouring going down with it to collide with the baking powder at the end. We are going into the Young Scientist Exhibition with lots of confidence and we are hoping we will do well with our recreation of The L.H.C......By Darragh O'Connor and Daragh Power 5th Class.
